Computers and the Internet have gradually become the second teachers for students which they could find many learning resources. So the importance of teachers decreased, which also bring a situation that teachers are no longer respected by their students. My best friend Tom is a compelling example of this. Math is his favorite subject when he was studying in high school. He was very clever and even learned some math problems that he didn't learn until he was in college. So when he asked his teacher some difficult problems, it was obvious that she could not help him solve them, because she only taught high school level mathematics textbooks. After that, Tom He turned to the Internet for answers by himself. He was suspicious and disappointed in the ability of the teachers in his school. In that case, with the development of new technology, the status of teachers has been decreased. Students may be more inclined to challenge the teacher's teaching authority and no longer respect the teacher.
Secondly, with the development of society, the relationship between students and teachers has become more equal today. The teacher's instructions or orders are no longer absolute authority. More and more students have their own ideas and learn to think critically. As a result, teachers are no longer an important role in students' lives, and they are no longer respected as they used to be. My own story serves as a example as here. I went to primary school when I was seven years old. The first headmaster I met was a strict woman who taught me Chinese. She is too rigid and always gives students a lot of homework. But almost all of us respected her and listened to her very much even though the homework was too heavy to finish for us. We were so afraid of her that no one dared to object to her excessive behavior. But now, look at my sister, who has a relaxed school life. They are no longer obedient to the teacher. On the contrary, these new generations put forward the demand for their teachers' teaching, asking for reasonable assignment and entertainment time. At the same time, teachers also need to pay more attention to students' mental health, rather than blindly pursuing students' academic performance. Students even more like to make friends with their teachers instead of respecting them. Because of the change of the teaching environment, students really don't respect their teachers as much as they used to.
